Cancer can be a frightening experience, especially if you are unaware of the advances in cancer treatment or of the support services available to you. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Pittsburgh Chapter and the Magee-Womens Cancer Program of UPMC Cancer Centers are offering the Ovarian Cancer Education Series as part of our ongoing effort to empower women through education. Our goal is to provide you and your loved ones with the latest information on ovarian cancer.
The Ovarian Cancer Education Series is for all individuals seeking up-to-date information about ovarian cancer — survivors, women recently diagnosed, and women and their family members concerned about the disease. The goal of the program is to help you understand the illness, provide information about treatments and what to expect, and help you make informed health care decisions. This program gives you the opportunity to learn about ovarian cancer from health care professionals, survivors, and others who have been touched by this disease.
